Aisling Foley, former Dubai based Head of Marketing for Dublin software company CR2, has launched her consulting business, Aisling Foley Marketing. The business targets IT and software companies that do not have the in-house marketing resources necessary to launch new marketing initiatives.
Aisling has 20 years international IT marketing experience with the last 12 specifically in software. In CR2, Aisling increased unique visitors to the company’s website by 400%. She grew press coverage by 250% and re-launched the customer newsletter, increasing its circulation by 50%. She also ensured that attendees to the 2006 User Group doubled over the previous year.
“My business is targeted primarily towards companies that have no in-house marketing resource,” said Aisling Foley, owner Aisling Foley Marketing. “Or, they may have a small marketing department but not the capacity to run new projects.”
“Usually, small or recently established software companies don’t want the expense of increasing headcount. However, they do need one or two key projects, such as a new brochure or website, implemented quickly,” continued Ms Foley. “To contract somebody on a short term basis is the most cost effective way of doing this.”
Prior to CR2, Aisling worked as Marketing Manager in Sabre in Dublin where she was responsible for the international marketing of its Internet Booking Engine. Before Sabre, Aisling was based in Belgium and the UK and spent 6 years in Supply Chain Management software working for US companies i2 and AspenTech.
