The AI marketing tools I use

With AI moving at the speed of light these days, here’s some AI marketing tools I’ve used in the last month. But of course give it a few weeks, there’ll be newer versions of these and brand new tools!

Content creation

You already are familiar with ChatGPT. Copilot is another good one and is included in your Microsoft 365 business subscription. Sometimes I use both, just to see if there’s any difference. It’s not a massive difference in terms of content, but layout is frequently different and there’ll be one or two points that differ.

Claude is similar to these and Bard is Google’s equivalent.

An important tool for anyone using AI is GPTZero. GPTZero gives a percentage as to how likely content has been produced using AI. You absolutely don’t want it to be anywhere near 100%!

If you’ve an eCommerce website, then Describely is the tool for you. It creates product descriptions in a jiffy, saving you tons of time and the headache that goes with creating product descriptions.

10 AI tools I use
Leonardo Prompt: Create an image in purple hues to use in a blog talking about AI tools used for marketing purposes. The sized produced was 1120 square which meant I could also use it as my featured image.

WordTune helps you make sense of what you want to say when you don’t know exactly how to say it. This tool from Semrush provides you with a different way of writing a paragraph without losing the main message. Enter your text and it paraphrases it. I haven’t used these because copywriting is in my blood!

Image generation and enhancement

I’ve used Chat GPT to create images. I’ve also used Leonardo.

  • Remove background
  • CleanUp (now available on your iPhone – it’s deadly) allows you to remove those pesky people who are posing for photos in the same place you are. Before and after photos from my trip to Ostuni in Puglia, Italy, April 25.

Video generation

Meeting notes

I have a Zoom paid subscription and the AI note generator that comes with it is really excellent. This is probably my favourite AI tool and certainly is the one I use most. Firefly is another really good note taker.

Understand the limitations of AI marketing tools

It’s really important to check the content AI tools produce. It’s not always the truth and can mix up facts. I’ve seen it. And when you ask it for stats, it doesn’t always show the correct links. Be sure to cross-reference the facts to see if they are backed up by credible sources. Make sure you check everything and NEVER use content produced by AI exactly as it is.

What you put in directly correlates to what comes out. You need to be very specific with your prompts. The great thing is that you can follow up your results with additional questions to tweak the content further.

Here’s some AI resources you should keep an eye on:

And of course TechCrunch.
